It’s raining men!

There’s a storm brewing outside so I had to cancel my late sunday beer night w friends. Now stuck at home, half bored, I found these photos of gorgeous men on a blog. At least they are keeping me company ; )

In my attempt to try and recall last night’s, er, debauchery, I have come to realize that excessive vodka, blinding club lights and well, a british accent make a man entirely sexy. And for what it’s worth, hearing the words “You are so beautiful” made him even much better. Regardless if he meant it (which I would want to believe heehee) or if he just wanted to take me home (which is what you are probably thinking).

Prior to that and all the other snippets of drunken events in my poor memory which includes me dancing on the ledge (??),  I was introduced by a good friend of mine to a nice decent man (his colleague) who probably now thinks I am a whore. Well, maybe a nice whore… I was nice to him. Anyway, these are all blah blah blahs because my point is, with my best friend’s voice nagging from the back of the car about my preference in men, I just can’t help say that that is just how it is.

A comparable thing happened to one of my good friends, also from last night. But more serious in her level. It is common knowledge that people end up liking someone similar to them or their lifestyle. Hot women like hot guys, but then some if not most of these men end up being douche bags. And I tell you, my friend is HOT. Like really hot. But still, her heart got broken. I know it’s always a matter of choice. In this case, the choice in men. But sometimes, there are things you simply cannot alter. Or at least not easily.

Anyway who knows.. when the cupid throws the arrow,  it might just leave me with a big surprise. But for now, with last night’s setting, really.. colleague vs. the british accent, the latter wins. xx

Grasshopper

Last night, I freaked out when a grasshopper landed on my leg while I was working on something at home. How did the grasshopper enter my house, I have no clue. But this morning my friend mentioned that it is actually a good omen to see or find a grasshopper. So I googled it and here’s what I found! ; )

As a Chinese Symbol, the grass hopper offers attributes of longevity, happiness, good health, good luck, wealth, abundance, fertility and virtue. In fact, grasshoppers were thought to be fertility symbols; specifically omens of the birth of a son (hence, another reason for its good luck symbol status as sons are considered prized gems within the setting of the family).

In Ancient Greece the grasshopper is a status symbol. Athenians would adorn themselves with golden grasshopper hair combs and brooches as an indication of nobility. The grasshopper is also a symbol of immortality.

In Native American Indian symbology and tribal lore (specifically the Iroquois nation) grasshopper symbolism deals with messages of glad tiding. In this context, the grasshopper is a harbinger of good news.

As an animal totem, the grasshopper chooses those of us who are innovators, forward-thinkers, and those who progress in life by unorthodox methods. This is because grasshopper symbolism recognizes tremendous leaps of faith, impressive jumps in progress and consistent forward momentum. Those with this totem are likely to aim high, and achieve amazing feats – they take great leaps where others fear to tread (or jump, in this case).

Grasshoppers can only jump forward….not backward, or sideways. So, when grasshopper shows up he could be reaffirming to you that you are taking the right steps to move forward in your current situation. Or it could be that he is telling you to go ahead and move forward, getting past what is hindering you. This is why grasshopper is the symbol of good luck all over the world. Grasshopper’s ability to connect and understand sound vibrations is why he is also a symbol of your inner voice. he could be telling you to trust yours.

Hehehe very true, there is a relationship temptation & awkwardness bubble, I dunno which one is worse ; ) Of course not counting the Zone of Pain… how sad no?

And Null Set, really?? I would like to think that is not correct. But yes, maybe almost impossible to find haha xx
