je ne sais quoi ?
February 8, 2013
It’s funny how, in life, you will meet great people probably with all the good attributes of a person, yet you wouldn’t want to be with them. And then you will meet this one person who probably doesn’t have everything you would desire, yet you would want to be with that person more than anything. And then maybe some people would ask you WHY? Until you yourself start asking yourself that question. When a reason does not make sense and the best answer is as simple as saying… I don’t know, so be it. It’s like the “je ne sais quoi” of all “je ne sais quoi”s. You can’t deny it, or in any case, hide it. Sadness. Pff, this is detrimental to my chakra ; )
Planning trips
February 4, 2013
Can’t sleep.. so now on a roll on travel planning and research. Might as well share with you my planned local trips for the coming months! 🙂 This month, I will be hiking Mt. Pinatubo, an active volcano located in Pampanga, just a few hours away from Metro Manila. There’s a beautiful lake on the crater of the volcano, and February is said to be the best time to hike and see the lake.
In March, I will finally visit Sagada and the Banaue Rice Terraces in the Ifugao Province. The rice terraces are known to be included in the 8 Wonders of the World and Sagada on the other hand is famous for its hanging coffins, cave spelunking, waterfalls and the infamous marijuana. This province is actually in my Travel bucket list as the 12 hour bus ride from the city kept me from visiting this place earlier on. Definitely excited for this adventure!!
Still unsure of where i will be celebrating my birthday… But this summer, I am also looking at visiting Siargao as one of my friends took on a job in a hotel there. So hopefully that pushes through. Siargao is the surfing capital of the Philippines and is situated in Mindanao, the southern part of the Philippines. Known to be really beautiful and laid back, a different scene from other popular surfing destinations in the Philippines.
So for the next 3 months, I’m happy to be able to squeeze in these domestic trips in between a busy 1st quarter. As expected, gotta say this before I end… It’s more fun in the Philippines!!!
